Venue: Imber Court Result: 10 -1 KO - 13:00pm
Cheam Town couldn’t have got off to a better start with Gulet scoring a much unexpected goal from outside the box in the first minute of the game. Then two minutes later Jack Dixon had a one on one with the keeper and easily tapped the ball into the net, we then knew that this game was going to be a walk in the park for Cheam town.
After the second goal all we wanted to do is score ESPECIALLY ME! But as usual I didn’t. Cheam Town didn’t stop pressuring Nutfield much to their goalkeeper’s disappointment as we could see by their little fanny fits in defence. We all took our feet off the pedal but we were still playing all over them.
Not long before half time Jack Dixon had the ball played to him as he attacked Nutfields goalkeeper but unfortunately for him Luke Smith took the ball from his feet and scored the third goal for Cheam town. We were very unfortunate not to be 15-0 up by half time but nothing seemed to falling right for us.
Second half arrived with the ball going straight back to Ali but instead Ali thought he would let it run straight under his feet just to be cocky (ha-ha). A few minutes later to everybody’s surprise Nutfield managed to get a goal back to make it 3-1, this made us have to step up a little bit. Then Sean Hickey made a great run through Nutfields defence and struck the ball into the back of the net to put Cheam Town 4-1 up. Nutfield got the game underway but we were back to being cocky and minutes after Sean Hickey scored another cracking goal to put Cheam 5-1 up.
Then Chris Richards came on after going off injured and straight away scored to put us 6-1 up, much to my disgust because I tried to score all F*****G game, from then on all Cheam Town wanted to do is score double figures. The game became a bit of a joke, shortly after Sean Hickey scored his hat-trick to put us 7-1 up.
Five minutes later some-one (haven’t got a clue who!!) crossed a perfect ball into the box which was met by the head of Steph to put Cheam Town 8-1 up, reaching double figures looked promising. Again I don’t know who was fouled but Cheam Town were given a penalty shortly after and as we were so far ahead and just to rub salt into the Nutfield wounds (& into MINE!) Ali the Goalkeeper was prompted forward to take the penalty and he placed the ball into the back of the net, we were now 9-1 up and all we needed was one more goal to put Cheam Town into double figures. Cheam now had a corner which was met by the head of Chris Richards to finally make it 10-1 to Cheam Town ; we had finally achieved our milestone of double figures for the first time.
