Venue: Beaconsfield Road, Yeading. After the Goal we started to get stuck in and again create a few more chances before half time. The last incident of the half was a controversial one which helped us out and didn’t put us 2 – 0 down before half time. The ball was whipped in well from a corner from their right midfielder and it went past everyone and one of their attackers managed to keep the ball in and it lobbed Ali and Ozzie and went in but the linesman said it went out and the goal didn’t stand. At half time Dave Owens and Ralph Watson gave us a talking to and told us what we needed to do in the second half. It really showed that we listened to what Dave and Ralph told us and we started off the second half strong. Both teams were having chances and in the second half it was a very open game. 15 minutes into the second half we had a penalty shout on Luke Smith. Which I clearly thought was a penalty and so did the fans on the sideline for Cheam Town. But unfortunately the referee did not give it. Then 20 minutes into the second half Yeading got there second goal and the Cheam Town defence could not do anything about this goal it was a good passing move. Then after this goal the match was becoming a stop start affair due to the ref pulling out cards like there was no tomorrow. First of all Luke Smith coming back from his suspension got red carded for swearing at his own player due to frustration. Then 5 minutes after that Alex Wynter was subbed on for Sean Hickey and then with only being on the pitch a matter of seconds he got his marching orders as well for abuse. Overall a bad result for Cheam Town this week and our unbeaten run has come to an end. But im sure next week we will pick ourselves up and get a win. Match Report by : Nick Beck ( Right Back ) |
